Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0. Effective July 27, 2026. Available in the United States to commercial customers only.

Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Vidify Terms of Service(“Terms”). This AUP applies to all use of the Service. Violating it is a material breach of the Terms and may result in removal of content, suspension, or termination. We may update this AUP as the Service evolves.

1. Your Core Responsibility

Vidify is a creative-generation tool. You are the advertiser responsible for every Output you keep, publish, or distribute. You must review each Output before use (the keep/kill/revise step), and you are solely responsible for its truthfulness, substantiation, and legal compliance. Nothing the Service generates is pre-cleared, verified, or approved by us.

2. Advertising Standards

You must not use the Service to create, keep, or distribute advertising that:

2.1Is false, misleading, or deceptive, or that you cannot substantiate. You must possess adequate substantiation for every objective claim — including performance, quality, pricing, savings, rankings, “#1”/“best,” “fastest,” and similar superiority claims — before the ad is used, consistent with the FTC Act, the Lanham Act, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), and applicable advertising law and self-regulatory standards (e.g., NAD).

2.2Makes comparative or competitor claims (including claims naming or depicting a competitor, its products, or its marks) that are false, misleading, or unsubstantiated, or that infringe or dilute a third party’s trademark. Comparative claims are made by you and are your responsibility.

2.3Omits required disclosures, including material connection, endorsement, testimonial, “results not typical,” pricing/subscription, and other disclosures required by the FTC Endorsement Guides or applicable law, or that are required by the destination platform.

2.4Promotes prohibited or restricted goods or services without full legal compliance, including illegal drugs and paraphernalia; weapons and regulated firearms; tobacco/vaping; adult content; gambling; multi-level-marketing/“get rich quick” schemes; unapproved health, supplement, or financial products; cryptocurrency offerings.

2.5 Targets or exploits minors, or promotes products in a manner directed to minors in violation of law.

2.6 Violates the advertising policies of any platform on which you run it (including Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and any app store). Platform approval is your responsibility; we do not guarantee that any Output will be accepted by any platform.

2.7 Misleadingly recontextualizes retained audio, including by pairing a retained voiceover, testimonial, endorsement, or claim with video of a different product or feature, or by editing video in a way that removes or obscures a disclosure that appeared in the original material.

3. Synthetic Media, Voice, and Likeness

Because the Service can generate synthetic voices, avatars, and presenters, you must not use it to:

3.1Depict a real, identifiable person — including their name, voice, image, or likeness — without that person’s authorization and all rights necessary for the intended advertising use. This includes synthetic or “deepfake” depictions and voice imitations of real individuals.

Retained source audio. Some editing modes modify the video while retaining the original audio from your source media, so an Output may contain a real person’s recorded voice. Submitting such media is permitted, but you represent and warrant that you hold all rights and permissions necessary for us to process that audio and for you to use the resulting Output in advertising — including (a) the depicted or recorded individual’s authorization for the use of their voice in the advertising you intend, and for the duration, territory, and media in which you intend to run it; (b) rights in the sound recording itself; (c) any synchronization and master-use licenses for music or third-party audio contained in the track; and (d) compliance with any applicable performer, union, or talent-agreement reuse and holding-fee obligations.

3.3 Impersonate any person or entity, or create the false impression that an ad is endorsed by, affiliated with, or originates from a person or brand without authorization.

3.4 Depict a public figure, celebrity, or political figure in a manner that misappropriates their name, voice, image, or likeness, or that violates any applicable right-of-publicity or digital-replica law.

3.5 Create sexual or exploitative content involving minors in any form, or sexualized depictions of real people without consent. This is strictly prohibited and will be reported as required by law.

4. Sources and Ingestion

4.1You may only direct Vidify at Sources you own or have the right to submit for processing, and you must not use the Service to access, ingest, or reproduce material in violation of a third party’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights.

4.2You must not direct the Service to access a Source in a manner that violates that platform’s or site’s terms of service, technical access controls, or applicable law.

4.3You must not submit others’ confidential information or trade secrets, or any material you are not authorized to disclose.

4.4 Hosted Browsing Capture. The Service can capture footage of a website using a hosted browser. You may use this only with websites and properties you own or control, and you must confirm that ownership when prompted. Sessions are ephemeral and unauthenticated: the Service does not accept credentials, does not sign in to any site, and does not retain session state between captures. You must not attempt to use this feature to capture any third party’s site, or to access any area of a site not publicly reachable.

5. Intellectual Property and Competitive Use

You must not use the Service or any Output to:

5.1 Infringe or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right.

5.2 Develop, train, fine-tune, or improve any product, model, or service that competes with Vidify or Speechify, including any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model.

5.3 Remove, obscure, or alter any watermark, provenance signal, or proprietary notice we apply.

6. Prohibited Content and Conduct (General)

You must not use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence; to violate export-control or sanctions laws; to infringe privacy or biometric rights; to distribute malware; or to facilitate fraud or any illegal activity.

7. Security and Technical Restrictions

You must not: share, expose, or misuse API keys; circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization; reverse engineer the Service or Vidify CLI except as permitted by law; or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service. You are responsible for reviewing any command or code before executing it on your systems.

8. Regulated and Sensitive Sectors

Advertising in regulated sectors (including healthcare and medical claims, financial products and services, insurance, alcohol, and children’s products) must comply with the specific laws and platform rules governing those sectors. You are responsible for obtaining any required legal or regulatory review before running such ads.

9. Enforcement

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, remove, or refuse to process any Content or Output, and may suspend or terminate access for any violation of this AUP, with or without notice, consistent with the Terms. We may report unlawful content or activity to authorities as required or appropriate. We are not liable for actions taken in good faith to enforce this AUP.

10. Reporting

To report a violation, abuse, or infringement, contact [email protected]. Intellectual-property infringement notices are handled per the Terms.
